Instructions

How to Download the Files

Click on the file you want to download. It will open in Google Drive.
Select the file type you wish to download and right-click it. A menu will appear. Click download.
Save the file to your computer in a folder of your choosing.
Open the Valentine’s Day file in your cutting machine software.

Cricut Design Space Tutorial

Open the Cricut Design Space software.
Click “New Project.”
Select “Upload” from the bottom left toolbar. Choose your SVG file. Click “Add to Canvas.”
Depending on if your design is going to be all one color or not, you can optionally select “Attach” to make the design stay in place. If you are using multiple colors, only “Attach” the same colors together.
Click “Make It.”

Silhouette Machine Instructions

To add the free designs to your Silhouette Studio library, select File –> Library–> Import to Library.
Select the “Send” button on the top right once your design is ready to cut.
Follow the prompts to choose the right materials for your particular project.

This fun and easy St. Patrick’s Day craft is a great way to celebrate the holiday with your kids and spend some quality time with them. This craft project will help develop your child’s fine motor skills.

Making this DIY St Patrick’s Day Gnome is simple and can be done with just a few materials that you probably already have at home or that you can get at Dollar Tree such as a foam cone, colored paper, pom-poms, googly eyes, shamrock stickers, and basic craft supplies. Your kids can have fun customizing their gnomes by adding any other details and embellishments they would like, such as shamrocks, clovers, buttons, glitter, or sequins, to make their gnomes unique.

Not only is this Irish gnome leprechaun craft an entertaining activity for your kids, but it also makes for a great DIY St. Paddy’s day decoration for your home. cardstock, construction paper, or colored paper in black, light green, dark green, gold, beige
- Cardstock will be more durable. However, it will be a little more difficult to shape around the cone. So, for kids especially, I would recommend light paper.

double sided tape
tan and light green pom pom
googly eyes
shamrock stickers
orange craft fluff or craft fur
glue

Gnome Leprechaun Craft Instructions

Roll the dark green paper around the foam cone and tape it in place. Cut off the excess paper.
Wrap a strip light green paper and wrap it around the base of the foam cone and tape it in place.
Cut a square piece of beige paper for the “face” and two beige “feet” and glue them on.
Wrap a strip of black paper slightly above the feet for the belt.
For the buckle, cut out a small gold square and then cut a square inside it by folding it in half and glue it on the center of the belt.
Glue the googly eyes and beige pom-pom to the gnome’s face for the eyes and nose.
Cut out a section of craft fluff and glue it below the face, and on either side of the face for the leprechaun’s red beard.
Add some glue to the light green pom-pom and place it on the top of the gnome’s hat.
Place glittery shamrock stickers or other accents on the gnome’s green hat.

Easy Gnome Leprechaun Craft for Kids

Ingredients

cardstock, construction paper, or colored paper black, light green, dark green, gold, beige
pom poms light green and beige
1 piece orange craft fluff or craft fur (optional – you can also use an orange paper beard in place of the fluff or fur)
1 pack shamrock stickers
1 7" foam cone
2 googly eyes

Instructions

Roll the dark green paper around the foam cone and tape it in place, making sure you roll it so the tip of the paper is pointy on the top of the hat. Cut off the excess paper.
Take a 3.5"-4" strip of light green paper and wrap it around the base of the foam cone and tape it in place. This will be the gnome's outfit.
Cut a 1.5" square piece of beige paper and two 1" beige "feet"
Glue the beige square to the top of the light green paper in the center. This is the gnome's face.
Add the beige "feet" to the bottom of the light green paper on each side.
Wrap a 0.5" strip of black paper slightly above the feet. This will be the belt.
For the buckle, cut out a gold 0.75" square. Fold it in half and cut a slit halfway on either side of the square vertically. Then, cut across horizontally where the slit ends. This will make a square within a square shape for the belt buckle.
Glue the buckle down over the middle of the belt.
Add a dab of glue to the back of each googly eye and place each one on either side of the top of the gnome's face.
Glue the pom pom in the center of the gnome's face for the nose.
Cut out a 3"-4" section of craft fluff and glue it below the face, and on either side of the face. For this part, I used hot glue because it would take a while for regular glue to dry.
Add some glue to the light green pom-pom and place it on the top of the gnome's hat.
Place glittery shamrock stickers or other accents on the gnome's hat.

Notes

Please note that these paper measurements use a 7″ foam cone. If you use a cone of a different size, then the amount of paper you use will vary.

Click the download button in the toolbar at the bottom center of the page on the far right side of the toolbar.
Save the files to the folder you want.
Open the PDF File with Adobe Acrobat or another PDF reader software.

How to Print

Load the cardstock or printer paper into your printer’s paper tray. If you are using cardstock:
1. Find the Paper Settings option. The location will vary depending on your OS (either under Properties (PC) or Presets (iOS)). This will allow you to select various media types that your printer can handle.
2. Go to Paper Type –> Card Stock.
Go to File –> Print. Open your printer settings or printing preferences. The printing settings will vary based on your printer, but ensure the print quality is set to the “Best” setting before printing.
In the print dialogue box, be sure to select “Fit” from the printer settings.

Instructions for How to Play this St. Patrick’s Day Word Search

What is a word search? It is a game in which players attempt to find all of the words hidden in a square grid of letters. Once you find one of the words, simply circle or highlight it and keep searching for more until you find them all. If you can’t find a particular word, you can refer to the answer key provided.

This printable puzzle places words left-to-right, top-down, or the two diagonals from left to right. The remainder of the puzzle is filled with any letters of the alphabet. No words are overlapping.

You can also turn it into a fun competition by playing with friends or family to see who can find all the words first and give a small prize to whoever wins. Dollar Tree is a great place to find holiday party favors that make great prizes. Examples include St Patrick’s day headbands, chocolate gold coins, crafting kits for kids, etc.

Dollar Tree Shamrock Craft for St Patrick’s Day

Make this fun and easy shamrock craft for St Patrick’s day using Dollar Tree supplies! It only costs $3 to make and takes less than 10 minutes.

This is a super easy St Patrick’s Day craft that you can even do with your kids. It will add a festive touch to your home for Saint Paddy’s day and would look great on your front door as a door hanger or over your spring mantel.

All the materials except the paint and scrapbook paper came from the dollar store. However, Dollar Tree does sell some scrapbook paper. They have green glitter scrapbook paper in variety packs. You could even use their green glitter vinyl and just cut off a section and stick it on and trim it down with a craft knife. The scrapbook I used came from Hobby Lobby and was $0.25 a sheet. Hobby Lobby has green buffalo plaid that would look really great too!

I was going for a farmhouse style decoration so I used white chalk paint and twine for a natural look, but you can paint it any color you want, add a different trim, do something else in place of the paper. When it comes to this craft project, you have a lot of leeway for some creativity to make it your own.

Supplies for this Dollar Tree Shamrock Craft:

wooden shamrock
white chalk paint (green would be great too!)
1 page of scrapbook paper
twine
pen / pencil
scissors
Mod Podge
foam brush and/or paint brush
hot glue gun (approx. ½ stick)
x-acto knife

Variations:

Make a green shamrock with gold trim
Stain the wood instead of painting it to create a rustic look
Omit the paper and use green glitter for the “hearts”

Tutorial for this Dollar Tree Shamrock Craft:

Paint your shamrock white using the chalk paint and let it dry.
Trace the shape of the one of the “hearts” on the back of your scrapbook paper and cut it out. It doesn’t have to be perfect (better to have excess than trim it down too much).
Make 2 other copies of that heart shape on your scrapbook paper.
Brush the back of each piece of scrapbook paper with Mod Podge and align it with the heart shapes on the shamrock.
Take an x-acto knife and trim along the edges of the paper anywhere that isn’t perfectly aligned.
Glue twine around the edges of the hearts using your hot glue gun. This is an optional step!
Loop twine around the holes at the top for hanging.

Dollar Store Shamrock Craft

An easy and quick shamrock craft using dollar tree supplies

½ glue stick
1 foam brush and/or paint brush
1 pen or pencil

Ingredients

1 wooden shamrock
1 piece scrapbook paper
twine
chalk paint white

Instructions

Paint your shamrock with the chalk paint and let it dry. It may need two coats, but mine didn't.
Trace the shape of the one of the "hearts" on the back of your scrapbook paper with your pencil or pen and cut it out. It doesn't have to be a perfect match, but it's better to have excess paper on the sides than trim it down too much. We will trim it down more later.
Make 2 other copies of that heart shape on your scrapbook paper by using the first one as a template.
Brush the back of each piece of scrapbook paper with Mod Podge and align it with the heart shapes on the shamrock and press it down. Let it dry for a few minutes.
Take an x-acto knife and trim along the edges of the paper anywhere that isn't perfectly aligned.
Glue twine around the edges of the hearts using your hot glue gun. This is an optional step, but it adds some detail and hides any imperfections!
Loop twine around the holes at the top for hanging.
